Vegan Green Beauty I Can't Go Without

December 28, 2017

If you had to pick your favorite green beauty makeup product what would it be? Not an easy question for those of us that might be obsessed, but, this helped me to clarify what it was that I was really spending the most time researching and experimenting with; foundation and brow makeup.

After reading about some of the different formulations that are out there, I imagine all the time it took these green beauty creators to make some of these life altering magical products. It seems like I spend equally as much time trying to find ones that work best for my skin type that (fingers crossed) are also nontoxic and vegan/cruelty free. of course I may have spent the greater part of yesterday just trying to find somewhere to buy a brow pencil that's checks all the boxes because I ran out last minute and didn't have any backups. I mean, you just can't compromise of what you put on your skin, brows included!

That being said here are my fav dry/combo skin foundations and brow products that I regularly obsess over:

Green Beauty Foundation:

FitGlow Vita Active Liquid Foundation- Feels amazing on the skin, and is packed full of amazing ingredients like hyaluronic acid, Vitamin C, Grapeseed Oil, Lavendar/Rose Hydrosol, and Sea Buckthorn. Medium coverage at it's best.

au Naturale Zero Gravity C2P Stick Foundation- This is my go-to quick and easy foundation, takes the least amount of time to apply, has lighter coverage for days that I feel like doing less, and it's super nourishing with Meadowfoam Seed Oil,  Jojoba Seed Oil, and Lavendar Oil.

100% Pure Healthy Fruit Pigmented Healthy Foundation- A good middle ground foundation with light to medium coverage. Also loaded with plant-based goodness like Aloe, Peach, Apricot, Cocoa Bean, Gogi Berry, Mangostreen and Elderberry.

Green Beauty Brows:

Plume Brow Pomade- This was my first green beauty experience with pomades after being used to a pencil for so long and it's definitely worth the hype. The trick is in the amount of product on the brush balanced with the right amount of pressure. My eyebrow threader told me olive oil is best for growing/nourishing brows, and she is the ONLY person in the world that can touch my brows besides myself, so when she speaks, I listen good. This is the only clean product I've come across that has 3 forms of olive oil; the fruit oil, hydrogenated olive oil, and olive oil unsaponifiable (to stabilize the formulation). It's love for your brows, truly.

Alima Pure Brow Pencil- Pure, clean, and simple, like so many of the lovely Alima Pure products out there. This is the one pencil that just about every vegan green beauty retailers cary online. So it's dependable, does the job in a clean and subtle way without breaking the bank.

Ere Perez Almond Oil Pencil- If pomade isn't your thing and you want to experiment with other nourishing pencils out there this is the one. This Aussi owned company has some of the cleanest oils, waxes, and pigments that apply smooth.
